Our pursuit for culinary discoveries led us to the small town of Melaka. Our travel guides and various websites kept mentioning one thing: Melaka's specialty, the famous chicken rice balls. Chicken rice balls, chicken rice balls, chicken rice balls. CURIOSITY PIQUED.
I discovered Mitz’s work after seeing one of his chairs at a client's place. I was immediately drawn to the sleek and simple design.
A few weeks ago, Simon reached out to me telling me that he + 6 classmates (all theatre students at Concordia) needed new headshots for a big application coming up. I decided to finally test out the idea of a headshot party that I came up with a year ago.
When we arrived, we picked the stiltiest stilt house in town and our friendly hosts immediately started preparing dinner and our “beds” in the large communal room. After stuffing our faces, we stepped outside and I realized that I could see the milky way for the first time.
In this post, I’ll tell you all about my favourite project (so far)! This was the longest project to date, and definitely a change of pace compared to my usual portrait assignments.
Claudia, Val, and I booked this 2-day tour across Cat Ba and Ha Long Bay. It included 5 delicious meals, kayaking, swimming, and sleeping overnight on the bay and watching the stars (just kidding, just the clouds).
If you’ve been following my Facebook/Instagram feeds lately, I know you think that I’ve become obsessed with vegetables and plants. Unfortunately, this post won’t really help convince you otherwise. Laurence is a local artist who draws local vegetables (although the occasional fruit will sneak in there as well).
BEST BURRITOS EVER. No, I’m not just saying that cause I did an assignment with them.
If I thought their burritos were crap, I would have started the post with something like “The folks at Tejano BBQ Burrito are really nice”. (Which is also true, but not the point here. They make delicious burritos in Montreal.)
This is Rachel — student of law, wearer of black clothes, owner of amazing apartment.
Spoiler alert — she says yes. Congrats to Brent & Susan for their recent engagement. :) In this post, I want to discuss preparing for proposal photos, my brush with Murphy’s Law, and how I came so close to missing this shot. If you’re a photographer, read up! It could happen to you.
