A few weeks ago, Simon reached out to me telling me that he + 6 classmates (all theatre students at Concordia) needed new headshots for a big application coming up. I decided to finally test out the idea of a headshot party that I came up with a year ago. The idea was simple albeit kinda unconventional: people hang out and have fun at my place while I photograph everyone one by one. The point is I just didn't want to make the waiting boring. So the subjects are welcome to bring drinks, order food, play board games, etc., while I'm off to the side taking headshots. Up until that point, a few groups had taken advantage of the group discount, but not one really took me up on the party offer until these folks. Everything went smoothly and we had a blast. This is definitely something I'd love to do more often!
