Last week, Vice Québec started a new series of videos called Les Reportages Vice. For the first episode, they featured my talented friend Meags Fitzgerald and discussed her love for photobooths.
Company Headshots for Clinia
BLUE BACKGROUND HEADSHOTS! A rare sight on my website, but I have nothing against colour (even though my wardrobe, apartment, studio space, accessories, etc. may suggest otherwise). Maybe I just have a thing for neutrals ok? In any case, blue background headshots for this crew.
Fuji the Shiba
This is Fuji, my 4-month old Shiba Inu puppy and photo assistant.
The Village of Alfred, New York
The village of Alfred is obscure enough that I’ll start by specifying that it is indeed a place and not a person.
When I told people that I’d go to New York and didn’t specify that I meant New York state, I was told “Oh man, you’re gonna get some amazing photos!”. I’m pretty sure they weren’t thinking about Alfred. Quaint little Alfred.
Looking For: Photographers / Artists Interested in an Informal Artist Residency
Each month, I’ll be offering a person who is looking for a studio space and give them access my new studio for the equivalent of one week during which I won’t be using it. In exchange, I’d ask for 3-4 days of skill sharing or assisting.
2017 Photography Stats
We’re done with 2017 and that marks the end of my 3rd year working as a photographer!
For those who were wondering this morning “Hey, is Alex Tran a nerd?”, well boy do I have the answer for you with some new photography stats. I did this for the first time two years ago, visualizing my wedding photography stats (back when I did weddings).
Snapshots from Toronto
Hey I visited Toronto for kinda the first time back in September!
Mont St-Hilaire
In this post, I’ll be talking about my ongoing assignment with the Mont St-Hilaire Gault Nature Reserve—my favourite assignment yet (bold statement, I know)! I need to tell you the back story first.
Trip to l'Île d'Orléans
Well, I just came back from my second road trip to the Île d’Orléans just within two weeks. It’s sort of long to explain why I went there twice, so let's just say that I'm not a good planner. But hey, both trips were fun!
Samia & Fabio
Quick disclaimer before we start—although I’ll be showing some wedding photos, please note that I no longer do wedding photography! I’m instead focusing mostly on editorial and commercial portrait photography, as well as headshot photography. Before my retirement from wedding photography, however, I was able to sneak in Fabio & Samia’s amazing wedding. Here’s the story!
