Straight Flush by James Turrell (2009) in the Bay Adelaide Centre in downtown Toronto.
Hey so I visited Toronto for kinda the first time back in September!
I had been countless times as a kid to visit family, but when you’re travelling with my family, for some reason the ONLY thing that you see is Chinatown and Pacific Mall (an Asian mall near Toronto). I’ve been to Pacific Mall probably about 10-15 times in my life. It’s THE place outside of Montreal that I’ve been to the most. Not sure if this is funny or sad.
I just googled Pacific Mall and the first result is a 1-star review from Rob J from Brampton who says—nay, yells: “DO NOT BUY FROM THERE”. So of course I start reading more reviews about Pacific Mall on this cloudy Monday morning because they are hilarious.
“If you just want to pass your time or have a nice walk this mall is good, irrespective of some strange odour that you get while walking inside the mall, but apart from that you should be ok.”
“NONFUNCTIONING HOVERBOARD AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE”
“You Could Never Pay Me Enough Money To Shop Here”
“Bootleg mall. This place is great for buying blank dvd's, Cd's phone accessories, bubble tea, and of course Chinese food!!”
“There's a real dirty feel to this place. Interesting food court”
“Do you really need to go here“
Anyway, I went to Toronto and not Pacific Mall. I saw friends, spent days in museums, ate a lot of food. Here are a few photos!
