Address: 2205 Parthenais #307.
Getting into the building: When you arrive, dial 307 at the intercom. When I pick up, you’ll hear a loud buzz and will be able to pull on the door. Take the first door on your left to go up the stairs the 3rd floor. 307 is down the hall. Call/text 514-690-8116 if there's an issue!
Elevator: There’s a freight elevator. If you need to use it, let me know (514-690-8116) and I’ll come down to help you operate it.
Arriving by public transportation: It’s close to Station Frontenac. It’s also on the path of the following bus lines: 10, 24, 29, 125.
Arriving by car: I’d recommend using a GPS due to the many one-ways in the area. Parking may be a bit tricky. The reserved spots are for other businesses, so finding a lucky free spot in the street is the only option. You may need to park a few minutes away.
Clothing
Make sure the clothes you bring are ironed or have little wrinkles.
Unless we've discussed clothing already, you're the best person to decide how you should present yourself in the photos. Pick out something that feels like yourself, rather than something you would only be wearing for the shoot and never anywhere else.
I find neutral coloured clothing or muted tones the most versatile, but I don't want you to change your style if you're typically someone who wears bold colours for example. Some people are wary of wearing the same colour as the background, but I personally don’t see any issues and in fact often like the look.
Be aware that clothes with stripes can sometimes be hard for cameras to capture properly.
Feel free to bring a few options. We won’t necessarily photograph everything, but we’ll have options. You can vary the looks by varying the colours, necklines, levels of formality, texture. If you're not sure, feel free to send me quick photos of your options for me to give you some input. Otherwise, we can decide together on the day of the shoot.
Accessories and jewelry are down to your personal preference.
Hair and make-up
With hair and make-up, I think it’s also down to your personal preference. Ultimately, I want you to like your photos, and I want you and others to recognize yourself in the photos.
If you have blemishes the day of the shoot, don’t worry, it’s something that I can easily remove.
In general, I have a preference for minimal or natural looks. I collaborate with a few awesome professional make-up artists / hair stylists. If you'd like them to do your make-up or hair prior to the shoot, this will be at an additional cost, and please let me know early on so we can find a time that works for all of us.
Other than that, make sure you're well-rested for the day of the shoot!
